Damiano David presented his first solo album in Rome, entitled " Funny Little Fears ", which will be released on May 16. The 14 tracks also include the single " Zombie Lady ". Damiano David described the album as "the emotional diary of this last year". "I felt wrong and sad and it was difficult to understand the origin of this dissatisfaction. - the Roman artist told Adnkronos - This album was a psychoanalysis session where I face my fears and show myself in a different way. I destroyed that sense of protection that music gave me because I have matured and am more sure of myself".

They would lead me to isolate myself, not talk about it, to withdraw into myself. This album offered me the opportunity to transform these fears into something positive, allowing me to create music and, once released, to connect with others."
For this reason, the fears for Damiano David have now become 'funny': "Not only because they allowed me to create something beautiful, but also because, thinking back to myself just a year ago, before starting this journey, I can almost laugh about them. Not in a denigrating way, but with the ability to take them a little more lightly". The choice of a solo debut was born from a deep sense of inadequacy: "I've always had the idea of making a solo album, to play with music, have fun and experiment. But in this case, the push to do it was born from a deep sense of inadequacy, from the difficulty of understanding myself and correcting my defects".

I've been thinking about it for a long time"A Damiano David apparently distant from the Måneskin frontman: "Could it be disconcerting? It's not a problem I asked myself. They are two different and equally real things that are part of me. I don't think one cancels the other". And he adds: "What we did with the band was the result of the moment and our thoughts, where there was an influence on each other and creating something together, trying to protect it and respect it. Then this one here is my product that I treat differently".
Damiano David: "My journey of change began after the end of a relationship that the public doesn't know about"The artist also opens up about the importance of relationships: "Relationships, especially romantic ones, play a fundamental role in my life. They represent about 90% of my happiness." And he reveals: "My journey of change began with the end of a relationship - not the one in the public domain - that deeply shook my certainties."
"It happened about a year and a half ago. I felt lost, fragile, without an identity and even though I was surrounded by people who supported me, I felt deeply alone. I had to reconnect with myself." The arrival of Dove Cameron , however, changed things: "It was enormously important. She is the person who supports me the most and pushes me to overcome my difficulties, both personally and professionally. I am deeply in love."
